This label bonds to garment panels that can take heat and pressure: cotton, blends and stretch knits used in tees, sweats, sportswear, workwear and uniforms. It is not the right choice for heat-sensitive shells or delicate synthetics that cannot be pressed, because the film needs a stable surface to bond to. Where a garment needs a sewn-in woven tag for care, size or origin information, this label does not replace that tag — the two sit together on the same garment.
Every run starts from raw material that meets the latest EURO Reach standards (2023), so the film you press onto a garment is free of restricted substances. A TPU patch sample was screened by SGS against the REACH SVHC Candidate List published by ECHA up to 17 January 2023 — 233 substances plus one further potential SVHC notified through the WTO — and returned a pass at ≤ 0.1% (w/w). The same sample passed US California Proposition 65 testing for total lead and phthalate content. Ask for the report covering your order, and tell us which market you ship to if you need additional declarations; we will confirm what we can provide.
TWINGS INDUSTRIAL CO.,LTD supplies custom labels and patches for garment and footwear branding. Our range covers soft PVC and TPR patches, heat transfer TPU labels, embossed logo and printed badges, and silicone labels and badges, so buyers can source related branding items from one supplier. We work to your own artwork and application requirements, with OEM and custom development support across material, embossed or printed effect, and how the item is attached. Send your drawings and target use, and we will recommend the construction that fits.
Soft TPU film — a flexible elastomer with a rubbery hand feel rather than the hard edge of a rigid plastic badge. The film is thin and light, so the label sits close to the cloth and the finished garment stays comfortable to wear.
Yes. Send the artwork as two named layers — the elements that should stand proud and the elements that stay flat — so the tool is cut to match. Where a printed area meets a raised mark it can run tight against the base of the relief or sit inside a recessed centre, and you can confirm the relief height on a pre-production sample because the tool can still be adjusted at that stage.
Vector files such as AI, PDF or EPS are preferred, with the outline, the colour breakdown and any areas you want embossed clearly marked. If you only have a flat image or a photo of an existing patch, send it anyway and we will tell you what can be reproduced cleanly. Include the colour references your brand uses so the printed layer matches on press.
Yes, and most customers apply them that way — pressing on a flat panel keeps the mark square to the shoulder seam or side seam. For larger runs, supply a marked template so the label lands in the same spot on every panel. The panel must be flat at the moment of bonding, because the press needs a firm surface underneath.
Heat transfer TPU gives a low-profile mark that flexes with stretch knits, which is what most garment decoration needs. Silicone builds a thicker 3D badge and suits heavier branding such as shoe tongues and side labels, while soft PVC/TPR patches cover the classic rubber-patch look. Send the fabric and the finish you have in mind and we will point you to the version that fits.
Wash the garment inside out so zips and drum edges do not rub against the raised relief, and choose the mildest cycle that still cleans the fabric. Never press an iron directly over the embossed face — heat softens the film — so iron from the reverse or through a cloth, and keep solvent spot cleaners and bleach off the badge. Store unused labels flat with the carrier film protected, away from heat and direct sunlight, because dust or a warped carrier shows up in the pressed edge.
